How to save power on the iPhone

Today's blog post will be about how you can save energy using your iPhone, what the options actually do, how to adjust them, and how easy it can be! I chose the iPhone because it is definitely the device I spend most of my time on. Apple iPhones offer a setting called "low power mode." A notification comes up asking if you want to turn on low power mode when your battery gets down to 20%. When low power mode is on, your phone won't need to be charged as often. Low power mode affects things like siri, background app refresh, automatic downloads, some visual effects, auto-lock, and icloud photos. The low power mode is easily found in settings and then "battery." You can also add the mode to your control center for easy access. Instructions on how to use this low power mode can be found here. I find low power mode on my iphone very easy to use. Another energy-saving setting that iPhones have is nighttime display. You can set your iphone so that at a certain time of night, the brightness goes down for a "nighttime display", which not only saves energy but also is easier for your eyes to look at in the dark.

Semester Review

It became easier Throughout the course of this semester, I’ve gone through many ups and downs with writing. After graduating from high school, I thought I was a pretty good writer. I took college compositive my senior year and got really good grades, so I wasn’t that worried about writing in college. Well let me tell you, I was knocked down a few pegs my freshman year of college. Now I think I’m an okay writer, but I definitely do struggle a bit. I took this class to fulfill requirements for my communication minor, and really I don’t plan on being a journalist, but I did learn skills in this class that will help me with writing in general during my future career.              I’ve learned how important non-biased writing is and how damaging biased writing can be on both the article and public opinion. When writing news articles as a journalist it’s incredibly important to double and triple-check that sources are very ...
