Is Disney a Monopoly?

Today I chose to talk about the company Disney. Disney would be in the movie media sector but also in the music sector. Disney is a prime example of horizontal integration because of how many smaller companies they own. So many of the media outlets we use everyday are owned by Disney and we aren't even aware. One of my favorite TV channels, FX, is owned by Disney. Disney also owns ESPN, ABC, Pixar studios, Miramax, marvel, Lifetime, The History channel and so much more. Of course they also own there own disney channels on TV and all disney movies. Disney even owns movie franchises that we dont realize including Star Wars and Indiana Jones. There are Disney theme parks and even a Disney cruise line. Disney is on the verse of being a monopoly because even though it seems there are companies in compeition with it, disney owns most of those companies making them superior.
